International competition for the construction of the Llogara tunnel opens!

Albania’s government is inviting bids in a tender for the construction of a 6 Llogara tunnel in the country’s southwestern coastal region of Vlora the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy B. Balluku said.

The deadline for submission of bids is February 12 and the estimated cost of the project is around ALL 19 billion, (Euro 155 million), value-added tax (VAT) excluded.

This expected to give a boost to tourism in the country’s southwestern coastal region.

The project is under the main focus of architects as well, as it is not only a technical but also a visual solution as it the main entrance gate towards a southern coastal area known as Albanian Riviera.

The tunnel is expected to have a positive impact on tourism because it will be close to the planned Vlora airport.
