INSTAT: Number of foreign visitors in 2018 up by 16%

Nearly 6 million foreign nationals visited Albania in 2018, an increase of 15.8 percent year on year, Albanian National Statistics Institute (INSTAT) reported on Wednesday. According to INSTAT official report, more than 5.9 million foreigners entered in Albania in 2018. In 2018, the country with the highest arrivals of citizens in Albania and the largest increase in inflows came from Poland with 153,718 citizens and an increase of 34.2 percent compared to the previous year. Year-on-year increases in the number of visitors were also registered from Italy and the United States respectively with 20 percent and 19.6 percent.
