Albania's unemployment rate falls to 12.3% in 2018

Albania’s unemployment rate dropped to 12.3% in 2018, from 13.7% in 2017, the national statistical office, INSTAT, said on Friday. The jobless rate among people aged 15 to 64 decreased to 12.8% in 2018, from 14.1% in the previous year, INSTAT said in a labour force report. Last year, the unemployment rate in the age bracket 15-24 years fell to 28.3% from 31.9% in 2017. The employment rate among people aged 15 to 64 rose to 59.5% in the period under review, from 57.4% in 2017 Albania has a population of 2.86 million.
