Tourism in Albania to be the main driving force

The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Blendi Klosi presented the 2018-2020 Strategy for the Development of Tourism. According to him, this document determines the path of development of tourism in our country and aims at turning the tourist industry into the main revenue source in the economy. This strategy is now being discussed with stakeholders, local government representatives and tour operators. “In 2018, we’re expecting to see a 15 to 20% growth in the number of tourists. It would be good if this 15% of 2018 to be higher than the figures that we have, but the figures that we have make it impossible for tourism to turn into a driving force. However, we are determined to transform tourism into a real driving force for the country’s economy”, he said.
