Kukes Airport to a PPP concession

The Council of Ministers has decided to approve a PPP concession for  the Kukes airport. The airport will require new investments as it has not been put to work since 2006. Citizens of Kukes say that the reopening of the airport will bring more development and jobs in the city. The airport expected to be used for low-cost flights is now increasing the state’s budget with the maintenance cost. Few months ago, Prime Minister Rama declared that the Kukes Airport will be operative by Autumn.
