Albanians have a very low purchasing power
Albanians have a very low purchasing power. Such phenomenon is confirmed by the GfK (Purchasing Power Europe) index, according to which, Albania ranks among countries with the lowest purchasing power in Europe. According to this index, in 2017, the amount of disposable cash that Europeans had for expenses and savings was 13,937 per person, while this amount was way too low for Albanians. Furthermore, the report says that last year, Europeans had a total of 9.4 billion euros worth of disposable cash to spend on food, housing, energy costs, etc. Meanwhile, Albanians rank in the same position as citizens of FYROM, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
