Special Status to Strategic Tourism Investors

Four and five-star hotels with a minimum investment of 8 million and five-star hotels with a minimum investment of 15 million euros will benefit from tax exemptions on these investments.

TIRANA- Fiscal facilities on development of elite tourism infrastructure is addressed at special status investors, Minister of Tourism and Environment, Blendi Klosi said during the presentation of a draft law amendment "On tourism" at the Productive Activity parliamentary Committee on Wednesday.
Minister Klosi emphasized that "2018 fiscal package via the state budget foresees fiscal facilities to the strategic investors' special status on construction of four and five stars hotels."
The amendment on tourism law serves to create new spaces to the development of this sector in our country in order to enable a new elite model of tourism.
He further explained that special status as strategic investors is the package that makes Albania an appealing destination to further investments in tourism development.
The special strategic investors' status will be endorsed to those who accomplish investments to tourist priority areas hence where we think tourism must be developed.
"Tourism provides economy, welfare and employment thus the government's package to this sector is brought forward complete and will set in motion a lacked business practice," Minister of Tourism and Environment Blendi Klosi said.

According to the draft law, four-star hotels with a minimum investment of 8 million and five-star hotels with a minimum investment of 15 million euros will benefit from tax exemptions on these investments.
