Rama: Appreciation and respect for Ismail Kadare

TIRANA - The Prime Minister, Edi Rama expressed on Monday his gratitude and respect for the writer Ismail Kadare.
“In the introduction to 2016 that coincides with the year of the 80th anniversary of our writer widely known, The French President François Hollande raised Ismail Kadare in superior rank of the Order Legion of Honor, the highest decoration in France!” Rama said in a posting on the social network “Facebook”.
“Congratulations from the heart with gratitude and respect to the writer who has led Albanian into unexplored peaks and has made his work read and admired in a lot of languages of the world,” the Prime Minister Edi Rama said.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati in a post on social networks said that this year began with fantastic news because the writer Ismail Kadare was awarded the “National Order of the Legion of Honor”. “2016 begins with fantastic news, Kadare was awarded the “National Order of the Legion of Honor”, the highest in France. A great honor for Kadare and Albania,” Bushati said via his Twitter status.
