Albanian Minister of Culture Mirela Kumbaro honoured with French order “Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters”
Albanian Minister of Culture Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi has received the order “Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters” by the Ministry of Culture and Communications of France, one of the four highest awards extended by the French government in recognition of contribution of different personalities in the field of art and culture.
The order was awarded to Minister Kumbaro by French Minister of Culture Audrey Azoulay under motif of remarkable contribution in the field of culture and to Albanian-French cooperation.
Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi has made a special contribution to Albanian-French cultural relations aiming to constantly promote Albanian culture in France and Europe, but even to strengthen the links between our two countries in the field of culture and cultural heritage as bridges of communication and exchange of mutual values.
Last year, Kumbaro and Azoulay signed a declaration of cultural cooperation between the two ministries.
“Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters” is given in recognition of significant contributions to the arts, literature, or the propagation of these fields in France and in the world.
